Family & Child Roots & Wings PLLC offers free monthly Emotional Regulation Workshops for children and teens ages 8–16. These workshops are part of our investment in building healthier children, stronger families, and a more resilient community.

Through storytelling, movement, art, mindfulness, and co-regulation activities, participants learn to name their feelings, listen to their bodies, manage stress, and share their thoughts with greater confidence. Each workshop provides a welcoming space where young people can explore what helps them feel calm, connected, safe, and strong.

Parents will also receive concrete skills and practical activities to use at home throughout the month, helping families continue practicing and strengthening what their children learn during the workshop.

This is more than a workshop—it is a space for children and teens to grow, play, build confidence, and carry valuable emotional-regulation skills back into the heart of their families.

Feelings Have Names

Start where you are. Ask what’s on your heart. Let’s find clarity—together.

Living and thriving doesn’t come with a map. And often, the hardest part is not knowing where to begin. You may have a thousand questions, need support—OR you might have a quiet sense that something is not quite right and you need guidance. That’s where an initial consultation with Dr. Nirmeen can help.

Dr. Nirmeen Rajani is a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience working alongside children, parents, adults, and families in clinics, schools, community mental health centers, and hospital-based programs. She has guided adults and children through everything from early developmental concerns to complex emotional and behavioral challenges, to helping individuals work through their own childhood wounds and the stressors they face along their life journey—offering not just support, but insight, compassion, and a clear path forward so they can show up for themselves and others with presence and clarity.

Start with the consultation. It is a sacred pause—a space where you can bring your questions, your uncertainty, your hunches, and your hope.

You might ask:

  • Is my behavior normal, or should I be concerned?

  • My child seems anxious, but I don’t know how to help—where do I start?

  • School isn’t going well for my child. What are my options?

  • Do I need an evaluation?

  • How do I support my child while also caring for myself?

  • I feel anxious, burnt out, or overwhelmed—how can I take care of my mental health?

  • Our marriage is falling apart- what kind of support can we get?

  • How can I work through my own stress and challenges so I can show up as the family/community member I want to be?

Whether your questions are big or small, specific or vague, Dr. Nirmeen will help you listen closely to what’s really going on and guide you toward the next right step—for your child and for your family’s well-being.

Sometimes, clarity begins with a conversation. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
