The Story Behind Our Logo

The Family and Child Roots & Wings Logo was intentionally designed to reflect the heart of our work: helping individuals and families cultivate deep roots while developing the confidence and freedom to grow.

At the center of the logo is a tree, a timeless symbol of growth, resilience, healing, and transformation. Rather than depicting a generic tree, the trunk subtly forms the silhouette of parent and child. This hidden image represents the foundational role of relationships in human development and healing. It reflects our belief that children thrive when they feel safe, seen, connected, and supported within their families and communities.

The roots extend beneath the tree in an interconnected pattern, symbolizing family systems, cultural identity, ancestry, immigration stories, and the intergenerational experiences that shape who we are. Just as a tree draws strength from its roots, we believe healing begins by understanding and honoring the stories, relationships, and communities that have influenced us.

Within the branches are two birds. One remains nestled within the tree while the other takes flight. Together, they represent the balance between connection and independence. Healthy relationships do not require us to remain rooted in place forever; rather, they provide the security and support needed to explore, grow, and become our fullest selves. This image reflects both the parenting journey and the therapeutic process: remaining connected while developing the courage to soar.

The circular shape surrounding the tree symbolizes community, interconnectedness, and wholeness. It reflects our understanding that healing does not occur in isolation. We are shaped by our relationships, culture, environment, and collective experiences. Our well-being is deeply connected to the well-being of our families and communities.

The soft palette of sage, taupe, and warm ivory was chosen to evoke calm, safety, growth, and grounding. These colors reflect the nurturing and reflective environment we strive to create for every individual and family who enters our space.
