Anthony DeGrenier, LPC
Anthony DeGrenier is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Family and Child Roots & Wings. He works with children, adolescents, adults, and parents—particularly those who are neurodivergent or seeking support in understanding neurodivergence across the lifespan. Anthony cultivates an open, culturally competent space where individuals feel empowered to show up as their true selves. He has strong experience supporting both children and adults navigating ADHD and anxiety disorders. He also brings three years of specialized experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including both verbal and nonverbal presentations, across outpatient and in-home settings.
Anthony’s work with adults often focuses on identity development, emotional regulation, and making sense of neurodivergence in the context of relationships, work, and self-understanding. His approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—incorporating skills such as Cognitive Defusion and Distress Tolerance. He especially supports parents raising neurodivergent children, helping them navigate stress with greater flexibility, regulation, and attunement.
Authenticity and holistic strategies are central to Anthony’s work and serve as the foundation for reaching meaningful therapeutic goals. He is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and has experience working with clients from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. He aims to help clients build the tools to love and care for themselves the way they would a friend or family member—walking away feeling more empowered in their everyday lives.
Anthony also brings a deeply creative lens into his work. With a background in digital storytelling, production, and sound, and as a musician who plays multiple instruments, he thoughtfully integrates music and creative expression into therapy. This approach allows him to engage both children and adults in ways that feel natural, accessible, and meaningful—especially for those who may struggle to express themselves through traditional talk therapy alone.

Vasty Leivang, MA will begin soon as a Mental Health Clinician at Family and Child Roots & Wings. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She will begin accepting new referrals in June, 2026.

At times, life can feel overwhelming, whether you’re navigating anxiety, past trauma, identity questions, or relational challenges that seem to repeat themselves. You may feel stuck, emotionally drained, or unsure of how to move forward. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can process your experiences, better understand yourself, and begin to create meaningful change.
I have clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with individuals across the lifespan, from as young as 4 to older adults. I support clients facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational difficulties. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals exploring multicultural identity and relationships, and I value helping clients understand how their cultural background and lived experiences influence their emotions, beliefs, and connections with others. I also have experience in disaster mental health, providing support during times of crisis and acute stress.
My approach is grounded in person-centered counseling, where your voice, experiences, and goals guide the work we do together. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and integrate trauma-informed, evidence-based techniques to support healing and growth. I strive to meet each client where they are, tailoring therapy to fit your unique needs while fostering resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change.
